Ihobe defends eco-innovation in Ireland as an instrument to boost the circular economy in companies
The Basque Country's participation was possible thanks to the fact that it is a member of ENCORE, a network of European regions made up of 122 regional governments, with priority lines of action in climate action, circular economy and biodiversity. The Basque Government was invited to participate, as a region at the forefront of innovative solutions and with cutting-edge tools for climate action and the circular economy, which can serve as an inspiration to other regions and cities. The Basque Country has been part of the ENCORE network since its foundation, almost two decades ago, and is currently on the Executive Committee until 2024. The work in this network contributes to the effective implementation of EU environmental policies at regional level.
The results of this multinational workshop will form part of the next biennial ENCORE conference, to be held in 2023 in Gelderdand, the Dutch province that currently holds the network's presidency.
