Ihobe is recruiting for Urban Klima 2050, the Basque Country’s biggest climate action project for the next few years
The new administrative officer will carry out his/her job within the framework of LIFE IP Urban Klima 2050, which is led by the public company Ihobe and is the largest climate action project in the Basque Country for the next few years. The job includes coordination and administrative management tasks and these are the main responsibilities:

  • Supporting the follow-up and closure of the project
  • Processing and managing information relating to Urban Klima 2050.
  • Supporting relations with partner organisations
  • Supporting standardised partner reporting to CINEA (European Climate Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency)
  • Supporting dissemination and communication tasks
  • Monitoring and reporting progress and results

About Ihobe


Ihobe is the Basque Government's public environmental management company depending on the Basque Ministry for Economic Development, Sustainability and the Environment. It acts a driving force, specialising in soil protection, circular economy, climate change, biodiversity and sustainability, and works to improve the environment by integrating environmental criteria into public policies.

Ihobe’s staff is made up of 53 people – 39 women and 14 men –, with an average age of 47, 80% of whom have higher education qualifications.

About LIFE IP Urban Klima 2050


The largest climate action project in the Basque Country, Urban Klima 2050, is transforming the region by coordinating a total of 40 climate change mitigation and adaptation actions in 2019-2025. It is led by the public company Ihobe, part of the Ministry for Economic Development, Sustainability and the Environment, which works with around 20 entities, including two other areas of the Basque Government (the Ministry for Health and the Directorate of Ports and Maritime Affairs); the three provincial councils; the city councils of Bilbao, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Donostia/San Sebastián, Bakio, Bermeo, Gernika-Lumo and Zarautz; two Basque public companies (EVE and URA), as well as technology and research centres (AZTI, BC3, Neiker, Tecnalia and Tecnun) and the Naturklima foundation.
